Founder’s Journey: From Code to Tao
Hello, I’m Vivian, founder of Taoist Beats & Co. My spiritual journey has been anything but straightforward. I graduated from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications with a degree in Computer Science and immersed myself in the fast-paced tech world, working at leading internet companies in Beijing and Shanghai.
But amid a life filled with code and deadlines, I often felt adrift and drawn toward something deeper and more ancient. A serendipitous opportunity led me to the tranquil mountains of Maoshan, the birthplace of the Taoist Shangqing School. There, I found not just a new interest, but a calling. I began formal training and eventually became an ordained Taoist master under the lineage name "Jia" (嘉) in the Maoshan Shangqing tradition.
I discovered my true passion and made the leap from a high-tech corporate career to devote myself to this ancient wisdom. Taoist Beats & Co. is the bridge between my two worlds—my mission is to share the natural serenity and profound blessings of Taoist culture with a global community of like-minded seekers.
